If you want to optimize a very slow Internet speed to make it faster, there is the step!

Step 1: Install TCPOptimizer
If your loading speed as well as downloads are taking too long? You have to get the program (SG TCP Optimizer).

Step 2: Using DNS Servers
There are 3 versions of DNSes to be optimized.
OpenDNS:
Preferred DNS server: 208.67.222.222
Alternate DNS server: 208.67.220.220
Google DNS:
Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
Cloudflare DNS:

Step 3: Use uBlock Origin extension
If you want this extension for Chrome or Firefox, it makes the websites load 25% faster. Also, to boost the download speed in Chromium, you have to enable the "Parallel downloading" in chrome flags.

Remove "Get Reddit Premium" ad by using Ublock Origin.

Note: It only applies in the Old Reddit.

How to Optimize Google Chrome Browser (Updated 2023)

There is a way how to optimize Google Chrome web browser. Also works on both Chrome versions that I tested with tweaked flags (versions 94 and 100).

Privacy and Security > Site settings:
  • Cookies and other site data - Block third-party cookies
  • Location - Don't allow sites to see your location
  • Camera - Don't allow sites to use your camera (if you have a webcam, just leave it default)
  • Microphone - Don't allow sites to use your microphone (if you have a microphone, just leave it default)
  • Notifications - Don't allow sites to send notifications
  • Motion sensors - Don't allow sites to use motion sensors
  • Unsandboxed plugin access - Do not allow any site to use a plugin to access your computer (removed since version 88)
System:
  • Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed - DISABLED
  • Use hardware acceleration when available - ENABLED (If you get issues, disable this)
Flags:
  • Smooth Scrolling - DISABLED (Leave it default if you keep smooth scrolling enabled)
  • Experimental QUIC protocol - ENABLED
  • Parallel downloading - ENABLED
  • Tab Hover Card Images - DISABLED
  • Destroy Profile on browser close - ENABLED
  • Turn off caching of streaming media to disk + while on battery power. - ENABLED
  • Enable LiteVideos + Force LiteVideos decision - ENABLED (Alternate flag to turn off caching)
Launch Parameters:
  • Paste these launch parameters after the quotations: --process-per-site --disable-hang-monitor --disable-background-timer-throttling --disable-backgrounding-occluded-windows
Note: If you are using a version of chrome prior to 2022 to disable tab throttling, You can just use this launch parameter here: --disable-features=CalculateNativeWinOcclusion,IntensiveWakeUpThrottling

If you want looking for older version with tweaked flags and launch parameters, links above here.
Extensions:
  • H264ify / Enhanced-H264ify - Makes YouTube stream H.264 videos instead of VP8/VP9 videos. This could result in a better playback if on low-end PCs. Also, be sure to disable 60FPS in the options if your system is very low-end
  • uBlock Orgin - A more CPU-friendly version of Adblock
  • FasterWeb - It will speed up the entire browsing by using just-in-time preloading.
Remove Google Docs online or any extensions similar if you do not need it...

Tips:
  • Limit your extensions
  • Turn off other processes in the background
  • Update Chrome to the latest stable builds (sometimes beta builds can help too, but they are not fully tested)
  • If you are using a 64-bit system, be sure to use the 64-bit Chrome, also do the same on a 32-bit system
  • Clear your browsing data often. You do not need extensions to clear it for you. CTRL + H then clear everything.
  • Sometimes, reinstalling Chrome is a good way to achieve max performance

Disable Chrome Auto-Updates
The 1st method was very tricky, inside of a Google folder, You can rename the Update folder to something like "No Update, Update.bak, or Update0", after that, You can disable both Google Update services in the registry and task scheduler.

The 2nd method was disabling the updates via the registry, Well there is a extracted file link that disables Chrome updates - being it's disabled, also it will update to the new version: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B38tuG0Ej4YCdndabURrcS1LWjg
